Our team

Dr Samantha Khoo, FRACS(Vasc), ChM, MBBS, LLB, BMSc

Dr Khoo was raised in Sydney where she completed university studies. Her vascular training was completed across Victoria and New South Wales with great exposure to complex open and endovascular procedures. She advocates for surgical excellence with friendly, patient-centred care.

She is Canberra’s first and only female Vascular Surgeon. She is dedicated to providing the best patient care possible at every stage.

Dr Khoo holds clinical appointments at Canberra Hospital, North Canberra, Calvary Private, Canberra Private and National Capital Hospital.

She is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons specialising in all aspects of Vascular surgery.

When not maintaining a busy career Dr Khoo is a fun and loving mother to 3 children, enjoys all things knitting and sewing, gardening, bike riding and stand up paddle boarding.

A/Prof Gert Frahm-Jensen, FRACS (Vasc), MBBS, BBiotech

Dr Gert Frahm-Jensen is an Australian trained Specialist Vascular Surgeon. Graduating from the Australian National University, he completed his Vascular Surgery Fellowship through placements in Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane.

Specialising in both Vascular and Endovascular surgical techniques, Dr Gert Frahm-Jensen has experience in a full range of vascular conditions.

Special interests include:

  • Peripheral vascular disease

  • Aortic and mesenteric disease – including aneurysm and occlusive disease

  • Carotid disease including carotid body tumours

  • Varicose Veins – open and minimally invasive therapies available

  • Vascular Access – AV Fistula, AV Graft and Venous Catheters

  • Thoracic Outlet Syndrome

As a specialist surgeon Dr Frahm-Jensen recognises that the surgical care he gives to patients is only one part of their healthcare journey. To ensure optimum outcomes, Gert seeks to collaborate with all members of the patient’s health care team.

If it is helpful for your patients Dr Frahm-Jensen is fluent in Norwegian, Danish and English.
